Plastic policy in practice

July is here, and so that means #PlasticFreeJuly – the movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution.

Last year we published our Plastics Policy:

Miswa Chemicals Ltd. has a policy of reducing, where commercially possible, the levels of waste plastic introduced into the environment. We believe that by creating an environment where reuse and recycling is encouraged and embraced, we can work towards reducing waste plastics.

This year we are pleased to share changes we have made to uphold our policy and commitment to working towards circular systems which promote reuse delivery models when possible and practical.

Updates to our processes mean we have reduced the amount of single-use plastic we place on the market by an annualised 35.57 tonnes through converting our 205 litre Screenwash products from plastic to steel containers. This is in addition to the 16.1 tonnes of single-use plastic savings made by moving our 199/205 litre Antifreeze products to steel.

By sharing this data and change in how we deliver our products, we want to demonstrate that our policy is not just words, but action – a physical manifestation of our commitment to the environment.
