Miswa Chemicals has a rich history that spans more than four decades, beginning in 1979. It remains a family-owned and operated business, specialising in Technical Fluid and Aerosol products. Originally focused on meeting the local demand for automotive products, Miswa Chemicals gradually expanded its operations and product offerings to become one of the leading manufacturers in the chemical industry. Established in 1979, Miswa Chemicals began as a modest family venture in a rental unit in Milton Keynes. Founded by two visionaries who manufactured, filled, and packaged products by hand, the company was built on a simple mission: to provide quality automotive products at affordable prices. Today, Miswa Chemicals stands as one of the UK's leading manufacturers of automotive fluids and insecticides, proudly serving a global market across three generations of family leadership.
A Family Business with Deep Roots
"We're a family-run business across three generations," says Director Oren Patel-Champion. "My grandfather, now 98 years old, still advises the company. This continuity gives us a unique advantage - the ability to change course quickly, remain agile, and adapt our infrastructure as needed."
Overcoming Adversity
The company's resilience was tested when Director Swati Patel-Champion contracted severe malaria while on a malaria awareness campaign in Africa. Her six-month hospitalisation and eight-month absence became a defining moment for the organisation. The team stepped up without hesitation, demonstrating the strength of the culture built over decades.
"I think my illness was a blessing in disguise," reflects Swati. "It helped the team shape up and step up. It was a good learning curve for everybody."
